Little Adelena was named after her great grandmother. I had the chance to meet and photograph her last weekend when she was just 10 days old. Such a sweet little bundle with that dark head of hair and rosebud lips – a dreamy little girl.

One of the best things about coming to California is visiting with all of my husband’s relatives in Ventura and Ojai. There is so much family around and everyone is so loving and down to earth it is impossible not to have a great time. We don’t get to visit with them often, however, so it was important for me to get some great shots of everyone together on this visit. Such a lovely day outside under the live oaks eating egg salad and grilled cheese with homemade oatmeal cookies and kisses from all of the little ones – and all of the big ones too.
On Friday we took the girls up to Butterfly Beach. Stopped for sandwiches, lemon cake, and wine cake at Pierre Lafond, then headed down Olive street to our favorite spot across the from the Biltmore Hotel in Montecito (the place where we were married almost 10 year ago!). The girls LOVE butterfly beach, and so do I. They also loved exploring the grounds where their parents were married… Such glorious weather. Too bad we didn’t think to actually bring swimsuits!
