She is getting so much older every minute. So proud of her, and there is so much I want for her that it is painful. So, so much love and adoration.
More film, more home developing and scanning. Contax 645, Fuji Acros film {I think I love it}.

Stealing photographs at a summer potluck in a friend’s home. Admiring amazing paintings, basking in sun rays filled with smoke from the grill, having chile rellanos and sugar cookies with rosemary glaze, watching my nine year old have long chats with world renowned scientists, and wishing we had more floor to ceiling windows of our own. Week 22 of you are my wild. End of the year activities galore not only in their world, but also in ours.

This is the story of Sydney. The girl who turned six months old in the blink of an eye, who started eating bananas, grew thigh chubs and wrist wrinkles, and moved into an awesome new home with her own stylish room. The girl who is not short on personality, is the spitting image of her daddy, and will latch onto the hair above her mom’s ears with a death grip in order to pull her in for a big wet baby kiss. The girl who is joyous and silly, loves the beach (and doesn’t eat the sand) and who loved to feel the wind in her hair while staying safely in her mama’s arms. The cutest little Sydney I know.
Week 19 was the week my oldest participated in her last Montessori school opera. The week she worked so hard on the part she didn’t think was the part she really wanted. And the week she stole the show.
After the devastating natural disasters in Oklahoma yesterday we debated whether to post our weekly images or not. Ultimately we decided (and we may not have all been in agreement) that life is amazingly precious and to cherish every minute of every day. That leaving a week blank would do nothing to help the parents find their missing children, or recover homes, or put lives back together. We want to celebrate children and families everywhere. And to remember that our time here is limited. We hope not to take one moment of it for granted. And our hearts go out to everyone missing loved ones today. Week 19. www.youaremywild.com .
