It is so hard to believe we are over halfway through our little portrait project. It has taken on a life of it’s own, and we are truly grateful for all of the followers, supporters, and kind words each week.
I hope you had a Happy 4th of July! This year we avoided all crowds by enjoying the simple firework show behind our home on the 3rd, and a dinner with family on the fourth. Stopped for a quick romp in our favorite Virginia field on the way home from dinner (in our red, white and blue finest), with a flag someone had attached to our mailbox as a gift.

I never tire of seeing this young family for our photo sessions. We have tramped through gardens and run through the grass, picked mounds of strawberries and let their juices dribble down our chins, welcomed new family members, and now, climbed trees filled with cicadas and run through fields fresh with wild daisies. Nothing but fun and love, glittery shoes, flowers, and grassy toes…
