A little visit to the farm seemed like just what was needed for a family of little girls currently obsessed with their cowboy boots (which they picked out and purchased themselves!). Fun, pumpkins, running, flying in the air, tractor driving, setting golden sun, wind, baby cows, baby pigs, kisses, squeezes, fence climbing, peekaboo, dancing, and love. I always love my time with Becca, Delaney and Ashlyn, and this evening was no different. Happy Birthday, girls!
The week we finally seemed to have more than a day off as a family. The week we took more than one nature walk just to get out of the house. The week Lu wanted to explore historical sites she had driven by so many times and only stopped once. The week Willa started taking pictures. The week Cleo grew up. The week we ate our weight in pie crust. The week we watched the parade three times. The week the girls wrestled and fought and had to be separated every 20 minutes, then to my surprise, hugged and told me they were “best friends”. The week we didn’t save the gingerbread houses until December. The week we got to the top of the hill and saw the most perfect sunset.

The week we realized there are only 5 weeks left.
Anyone who has been following my work for any length of time may recognize this lovely family. I first photographed Jen and Shawn just after their wedding, when they were looking for some more photos of the two of them (then as newlyweds). Four shoots later, and baby Sydney has just turned one! Now toddling along, Sydney is one super cute and happy kid. We met up for a woodsy November walk in the woods to eat some leaves and bat eyes at everyone who came along. I mentioned on Instagram that Sydney has possibly the best head of hair on a one year old that I have ever seen… pictured here are many more examples of that. Happy Birthday, Sydney!
