I shared these words on my facebook page, but I feel they bear repeating… I think my favorite part about photographing high school seniors is getting to show them just how much beauty I see. Every single one I meet is amazing… some are among the top cheerleaders in the WORLD, some have been on championship travel softball teams for years , some are graduating with 4.7 GPAs (and higher).

There is no shortage of bright and talented kids where we live! BUT, if I can help to send them off into the world knowing that they are not only incredible, but that they are gorgeous, too, then I feel like I have given them a little something special.

Have an amazing senior year, Maddie.

That time a bunch of kids who were the subjects of a little blog called “You Are My Wild” got together in the west Texas desert to share clothes and beds, swim in springs and troughs, look at art, pick wildflowers, order from food trucks, eat enchiladas, drink Topo Chico, and generally become the best of friends. What You Are My Wild, in Marfa, looks like. Five days in July captured in iPhone photos. The best trip of the summer.

Next up is our newest member of the talented What __ Looks like blog circle. Click to see what beauty Ginger Unzueta has to share!
